⚡️🌪️🔱 The thunderous cries of the defeated bird monster echo one last time before silence envelops the mountain peak. Clouds swirl above, hinting at the stormy nature of the creature you've just bested. As you catch your breath, a shimmer from the bird's enormous nest catches your eye.

You cautiously approach the nest, sifting through the tangle of large twigs and shimmering feathers. Amidst the debris, your fingers touch something cold and metallic. Pulling it out, you discover a magnificent axe. Its obsidian blade crackles with electric energy, and the rune in its center pulses with an powerful light, mimicking the ambient lightning of the storm above.

Adorned with intricate gold designs reminiscent of storm patterns, the handle feels incredibly balanced in your grip. This isn't any ordinary weapon; it holds a power that you can't quite grasp yet. ⚡️🌪️🔱

Stormforged Axe

Weapon (any axe), very rare (requires attunement)

Crafted at the heart of a tempest and adorned with intricate gold designs. Its obsidian blade constantly crackles with electric energy, while the rune in its center pulses with force.

When wielding the axe, it deals an extra 1d6 lightning damage to any target it hits.

The axe has 5 charges and regains all expended charges at dusk.

With the axe in hand, you can unlock the following properties:

Thunderous Roar. When you hit a creature with this weapon, as a reaction, you can expend 1 charge to unleash a bolt of lightning towards another target within 60 feet of the creature you hit. The second target must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 16) or take 3d10 lightning damage.

Tempest’s Call. When you critically hit with this weapon, you can expend 2 charges to summon a localized storm in a 20-foot radius centered on you, lasting for 1 minute. The area becomes heavily obscured, and at the start of each of your turns, two random targets (GM’s discretion) in the area, excluding you, take 2d8 lightning damage.
