⚔️🔧🔋 Once, in a gnome village hidden deep in the woods, there was a clever gnome named Rizzo. Rizzo loved to mix old stuff with new ideas. One day, while watching woodcutters and thinking about swords, he got a wild idea. Why not put a chainsaw on a sword?

He worked day and night in his little workshop, using bits and bobs he found. The other gnomes thought he was a bit silly. "A chainsaw on a sword? Why?" they'd laugh. But Rizzo didn't care. He knew it would be cool.

After many tries, he made it! The Chainsaw Shortsword was born. It was loud, it was shiny, and it was powerful. The gnomes stopped laughing and started clapping. Everyone wanted one. Rizzo became a village hero.

Word spread about Rizzo's invention. Adventurers from far and wide came to see it. Some say the sword is still out there, waiting for the next hero to swing it. And Rizzo? He just smiles, already thinking of his next big idea. ⚔️🔧🔋

Chainsaw Sword

Weapon (shortsword), uncommon

Forged by innovative tinker gnomes or from the hidden workshops of a post-apocalyptic world, this weapon seamlessly combines the precision of a sword with the ruthless cutting power of a chainsaw blade.

With a bonus action, the wielder can activate the chainsaw, which consumes 1 pint of oil and lasts for 1 minute. While active, once per turn when the wielder hits a creature, they can deal an additional 1d6 slashing damage. The noise of the chainsaw can be heard up to 300 feet away. If the wielder rolls a natural 1 on their attack roll, the chainsaw jams and requires an action to fix before the chainsaw property can be used again.

Without oil, the sword functions as a standard shortsword.

Versatile. The weapon can be used with one or two hands. When used with two hands, the melee attack damage is a d8.
