💀🔪⚔️ Aye, the Bone Cleaver, a nifty little tool for us dwarves, especially for those of us with a penchant for the dark arts. Rooted deep within the recesses of necromantic innovation, these blades were crafted by the skillful hands and arcane prowess of dwarf necromancers residing in the subterranean expanses of the Graveldelve Mountains.

Bone Cleavers are uncommon, yet hold a somewhat dreadful reverence among our kind, for the bones used in their crafting are derived not from mere beasts, but the skeletal remnants of fallen warriors – be they friend or foe. The steel, although thin, is infused with the despairing echoes of the departed souls, providing the weapon with an eerie aura and a macabre, yet purposeful, ability.

You see, when the somber energy within the weapon resonates with the living, it doesn’t merely cut the flesh but momentarily severs the spirit from the body, causing a jarring of one's essence. It is this cataclysmic disturbance in life-force that begets the weakening of the body, and thus, the efficacious nature of the cleaver in combat. This, whilst simultaneously siphoning the ethereal vibrations from the pain and suffering it brings forth, transforming it into a fleeting semblance of vitality for the wielder.

Our necromancers fashioned these with utilitarian intent - a tool to debilitate the adversary and bolster our own strength in the relentless underdepths. For we, my friend, do not shy away from harnessing the dark, if it ensures the survival and prosperity of our kin beneath the stoic stone that shields us. 💀🔪⚔️

Bone Cleaver

Weapon (handaxe), uncommon (requires attunement)

This handaxe seems to be crudely fashioned, with a broad blade assembled from carefully polished, interlocking bones, yet it is far from primitive. A thin, razor-sharp edge of steel is expertly embedded along the bottom of the bone blade, enabling it to maintain the deadly effectiveness of a traditional axe.

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. When you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force it to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 14). On a failed save, the creature has disadvantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws and can't use reactions until the end of its next turn as the weapon temporarily disjoints the target’s bones.

Versatile Design. This weapon can be used with one or two hands, dealing 1d8 slashing damage when two hands are used.
