🎃👻🖤 The Hallow's Hide beckons observers into a mesmerizing and haunting enchantment, delicately suspended between the realms of the mortal and the spectral. Crafted meticulously from studded leather, at first, it may strike the viewer as simply a well-made piece of armor. The brown leather, resilient and flexible, offers no outward hint of the otherworldly power contained within.

However, upon closer scrutiny, the observer is greeted by a grotesque and intriguing revelation: the chest piece, seemingly alive, harbors an expertly carved face reminiscent of the most malevolent of jack-o'-lanterns. Its eyes and maw aglow with a spectral, warm illumination that flickers ever so slightly, casting unnerving shadows that dance like wayward spirits in moonlight. The gentle, whisper-like flickering gives an illusion of whispering unspeakable secrets from beyond.

This omnipresent, unmoving gaze, unsettling in its stillness, appears to observe all—friend or foe—with an eerie equanimity, as if it could pierce into the very soul of those who dare to look upon it. The face silently tells a story, an untold legend of Hallow’s Eves past, where the veil between worlds thins, and entities of the nether whisper secrets to those daring enough to listen.

Here, the Hallow’s Hide silently watches, an eternal sentinel within which the essence of All Hallow’s Eve is encased, waiting to unleash its spectral machinations upon the world of the living. Its wearer becomes a participant in a ghastly tale, unfolding with each step into the shadowy unknown. 🎃👻🖤

Hallow’s Hide

Armor (studded leather), legendary (requires attunement)

A haunting aura pervades around this meticulously crafted studded leather armor. The brown leather, tough yet supple, seems ordinary at first glance, but upon closer inspection, a macabre visage reveals itself. The chest bears an expertly carved face, akin to a sinister jack-o'-lantern, with a spectral, warm glow emanating from its eyes and maw. It seems to watch with an unsettling stillness, observing threats and allies alike with its unmoving gaze.

The soft glow from the carved face provides bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet. This light has a slightly unsettling, flickering quality, casting eerie shadows in its wake.

Headless Hallow. When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can choose to activate the armor’s power as a reaction. Your head detaches, hovering 5 feet above your body, and you drop to 1 hit point instead of falling unconscious. While detached, your head is immune to all damage and cannot be targeted by attacks, spells, or other effects. Your body, under the GM's control, cannot cast spells, speak, taste, or consume anything, and it makes all attack rolls with disadvantage. You control only the head, able to speak and observe, but are unable to physically interact with your environment. This effect lasts for 1 minute, after which your head reattaches itself to your body, or until the GM decides to dismiss it at the end of your turn. After activation, the Hallow’s Hide must regain its eldritch energies, becoming available once again at midnight.

Boots of the Shadowclaw

Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement)

When worn, sharp black claws eerily emerge from the soles, anchoring into surfaces and even phasing through them. A constant, low whisper seems to emanate from them, whispering tales of the grave.

While wearing these boots, your walking speed becomes a climbing speed, allowing you to traverse vertical and upside-down surfaces without using your hands. When you are in dim light or darkness, you can use your action to become invisible. While you remain invisible in this way, you regain hit points equal to your level once every hour. This invisibility ends if you make an attack, cast a spell, move, or use an action to dismiss it. Once used, this property can't be used again until the next dawn.

2 Set Bonus

As an action, you can conjure 3d4 carved pumpkin bombs, each appearing in an unoccupied space that you can see within 20 feet of you. These pumpkins, illuminated by a faint, ghostly light that casts dim light in a 5-foot radius, bear menacing, carved faces.

A creature can use its action to fuse a pumpkin bomb by placing a sweet treat (like a piece of candy) within its grinning maw. Once a pumpkin bomb is fused, its carved face contorts into a twisted, animated grimace, and it begins cackling ominously. At the end of the creature’s next turn, after placing the sweet treat inside, the fused pumpkin bomb detonates.

Upon detonation, each creature within a 15-foot radius of an exploding pumpkin bomb must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 3d6 fire damage and 3d6 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

A creature may use its action to try and squash a fused pumpkin bomb, requiring a successful DC 15 Strength (Athletics) check. On a successful check, the pumpkin is squashed, preventing it from exploding, and the sweet treat inside is destroyed. If a creature fails this check by 5 or more, the bomb detonates immediately. Once used, this set bonus can't be used again until the next dawn.
