👗🌨️🧤 Ah, I could scarcely believe my own eyes, weary and tear-soaked as they were, when an apparition of pure winter majesty emerged before our snow-engulfed village. A figure, seemingly carved from the essence of winter itself, began to traverse through the relentless storm as if unburdened by the encasing ice and fierce winds. A cloak of the purest white fur, akin to the undisturbed snow of the northern tundras, flowed elegantly amidst the chaos of the tempest around them. The frail light of our dying flames cast faint, trembling glows upon a robe of sublime, frosty elegance, and I glimpsed gentle blue undertones, like a serene frozen lake beneath a moonlit night, dancing within its folds. And oh, their gloves, they encapsulated their hands with a glistening frost that somehow whispered of a hidden, robust strength within its icy grasp.

My breath caught in my chest, a momentary reprieve from the desperate sobs that had wracked my frame as our homes succumbed to the storm's fury, as the figure lifted an arm in silent command. The air around them seemed to still, a momentary pause in the storm’s onslaught, as a cascade of delicate snowflakes, so perfect, so gentle, began to fall around them.

And then, with a glance that carried the weight of an ancient, frosty secret, they locked eyes with me - an unspoken understanding passing between us. A promise, perhaps, or a solemn vow forged amidst the harsh winter that enveloped us all. The icy tendrils of despair that had coiled around my heart seemed to loosen as a peculiar warmth, so alien amidst the encompassing cold, gently caressed my spirit.

They moved forward, every step a silent proclamation of power and an unyielding stand against the bitterness of the elements. As the creature approached, I glimpsed their eyes - an abyss of timeless winter and compassionate severity. Without a word, they passed, their path a testament to an ethereal purpose that we, mere mortals ravaged by the storm’s despair, could barely fathom. The set - an enigmatic blend of wintry sorrow and unearthly beauty - whispered stories of the Snowmaiden, a legend reborn, or perhaps, a spirit of winter’s undying vigil.

As they marched forward into the depth of the storm, an inexplicable comfort embraced our shivering forms, an understanding that within the unrelenting frost, a guardian traversed, enveloped in the ethereal majesty of the Snowmaiden. The storm seemed to sigh, its fury subtly tempered by an unseen force, and within its icy breath, tales of the spectral figure would be carried into the legends of our people, forevermore interwoven with the winter’s timeless embrace.

And so, we watched, the last vestiges of despair relinquishing their hold upon our spirits, as they disappeared into the icy beyond, leaving behind a gentle hush, where once only the storm's roar had prevailed. 👗🌨️🧤

Snowmaiden’s Shroud

Wondrous Item, rare

Cloaked in the lush and perpetual white fur of a spectral winter creature, this splendid shroud seems to embody the serene purity of an endless, untouched snowfield.

While you are wearing the cloak, a melee attack against you triggers its frosty defense: the attacker must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or have its speed reduced by 10 feet until the end of its next turn, as mystical frost clings to them. If the same attacker hits you again on a subsequent turn while the speed reduction is in effect, they take 1d8 cold damage.

2 Set Bonus

Once you are attuned to two items from the Snowmaiden set, you gain resistance to cold damage.

3 Set Bonus

As an action, you can evoke the protection of the Snowmaiden, causing a large, ornate ice crystal to rise from the ground and envelop you. While inside, you gain total cover, become immune to cold damage, and are able to heal for 1d8 hit points at the start of each of your turns. You can see out of the crystal, but it is opaque from the outside. The crystal has an AC of 20 and 60 hit points, and vulnerability to fire damage. If the crystal is broken from the outside, the healing effect ends, but if you decide to leave the crystal, it shatters gracefully, dealing 3d8 cold damage to enemies within a 10-foot radius. This sanctuary lasts for up to 10 minutes or until you decide to end it early as an bonus action. This set bonus can’t be used again until the next dawn.
