On one hand, it's great for interacting with your followers and building a community On the other hand, I'm trying cut down on joining discord servers as I just lurk in most of the ones I'm in ;_;

yeah, well I'm in 30 discord servers and I'm active on most of them and 9 of them are for work xD

Discord is a good tool to keep connected with your base as well as grow it. Might take a bit of managing, but it's good as a backup should you ever need it to reach out to the community.

yes, work, games, interacting...I can share my stuff daily what I'm working on, much better than making patreon posts, which might be super annoying sometimes

I wouldnt recommend it. Most of the stories i hear about big discord servers usually end with it becoming a toxic cesspool. Unless you find trustworthy moderators, i'd say hold off on the idea.
