Why is this pose so popular in photography or NSFW art? I get it, you can see everything, it's you fav sex pose, etc....but it looks like some kind of construction to me xD too narrow, symmetrical, plain....it's just boring, not interesting, I can't even find it attractive or sexy.

Great question cause idk either bro

It a sex pose and the person stares right at you, like it’s an invitation for the viewer. Pure guess on my part though.

Turn her on one side and have it be a sideways split

From a pure art perspective, what's appealing to the viewer and the artist might be separate things at times. Artists tend to get caught up in all sorts of things, like poses, compositions, dynamics/flow of the piece, colors, etc., while a viewer just wants to fap and would rather have the subject in full display as opposed to "an interesting pose in a unique perspective that doesn't really show anything off because of the angle I had to take in order to make it work but I think it was fun to draw." It's the difference between a final piece (what the viewer wants) and a study (what the artist wants). A good idea is, that if you find something boring- try exploring ways to make it interesting through your studies without sacrificing the intended goal of the final piece. Maybe even release your studies and thought process in order to see what your audience likes.

that;s great advice, thanks! I was just asking abut this specific pose, because when I'm browsing stuff for references, inspiration, this pose is every time, everywhere xD I hate it....when I search boobs, this pose, when I search feet, this pose, when I search legs, this pose! xD

People generally prefer symmetrical poses like this because it’s easy for a person to replicate, like most people can’t be this flexible gymnast
