Levi's not short; he's the perfect height (for me 🥰) Don't worry, I got your Black Books reference 😄 As for Erwin, in the dubbing it's translated as "What is it you think you see? Who do you think the real enemy is here? Ignore me; loaded question." Fun side fact (not that it comes up in the anime or manga, but in the character profiles), Moblitz- Hange's off-sider, is the biggest drinker in the Scouts due to the stress of managing Hange. And this episode perfectly explains what stress she might cause long-term. It was so long ago, I really don't recall where my mind was at this point of the journey. (no spoilers) But watching this again for the 9/10th time, it's just dawned on me something Pyxis later says in season 4, which at the time I take at face value. But now, viewing him again, his later words are actually demonstrated by himself already at least twice thus far. And again in season 3. Oooooh, he's a master 😊 I love him all the more now!

Not sure if anyone has told you, but there's a few OVA's (Original Video Animation) for Attack on Titan, which are worth watching. Levi's back story (well, PART of his history) is available in the 'No Regrets' 2 parter. (More of his past is revealed in season 3). It explores his past and how he joins the Scouts and various mannerisms/behaviours he has. There's another which touches on a few things learnt so far- Uluo and his copying of Levi, Hanji wanting to capture a Titan, Survey corps and their missions outside the walls, and the titan that made exploring the potential of capturing a titan worthwhile. You *NEED* to watch this one, if only for one word to be mentioned before season 2 rolls around. (no joke, a SINGLE word). There's another which is a side-mission/training exercise for the 104th cadet corps that happened prior to their graduation (and prior to finding out Eren can turn into a titan). It doesn't add to the main storyline, but does give more depth to the characters, how they interact with each other, and personal growth from being a cadet 'yes sir' type to being more team oriented and independent thinkers as situations evolve outside the norm. There's an amusing side-story about Jean and his mum/upbringing and a competition between him and Sasha. Again, doesn't add to the main storyline, but a little humour between all the traumatic episodes doesn't hurt. There is an alternative timeline 'what if' style storyline featuring Eren and Mikasa, how they met and their childhood. All of the ones mentioned above are safe for you to watch as of this point in the storyline/anime. The last one will not be safe to watch until after season 3. Again, it doesn't add anything to the main storyline either, but does explore a certain character's motivations/thought processes/etc. (it's a 2 parter). There's 8 OVA's in total- 6 of which are safe for you to watch now :) (well, 8 OVA episodes; 6 storylines since two of them (Levi's backstory and the other 'not safe' OVA are two-parters each).
