Yesterday when working on updating mods, Icemunmun asked if I could update and send her some animals for the terrarium mod, as she wanted to work on it again. So I've updated the poison dart frogs and tree toad to appear in the Pond vfx section.

When looking at it, I wondered if I could make it more clear whenever a vfx mod was made for ponds/water pools or for terrain. So as the original EA pond vfx items already have a blue-ish water background, I thought maybe I can add something simular too.

So as can be seen in the above screenshot, I've added a quite simular bleu-ish background to the fish I've updated last week and to the duck mods I've updated for this week. You can also see the poison dart frog and tree toad having their own colors too. The Dark green is for Jungle-ish animals, like the frog, but also the macaw, toucan and iguanas  that still need updating. The brown-ish color is for desert animals like the toad, but also the desert lizard and snake that still need updating.

The 3rd frog is the normal frog that normally appears in a terrarium after being caught. But I'm not totally sure about it's color yet, maybe it's needs a less brighter color. This green-ish color will also be used for butterflies, bees, pigeons and the small birds like the tanager, red cardinal and blue jay.

I might make another color for beach related animals like the seagulls.

As for objects with vfx attached to them, these will keep their white background, just as EA ones. In the screenshot you can see the water reed objects having this white background.

What do you think about this small upgrade? Does it makes them better recognizable as I will place all my vfx in this category? Or should I just make a water background and terrain background?

I like the color-coding of the background, provided it isn't too much work. It makes it easier to tell at a glance where something works. 💕🤗💕
