IMPORTANT NOTICE: This final release of Chapter One has a completely reworked sprite system, so everyone who played the Alpha or the Beta should disregard those saves and start a new game! Breadloaf has helped me a lot with this new, much needed and long overdue implementation, that will make coding the game much tidier and concise. There are still some other tweaks to add to make ORS an even better product than GGGB, and will be done within these first steps of the game.

Other than that, here's the final version of Chapter One!

The reception for the Alpha and Beta was pretty good and I think you'll enjoy this first release. Bear in mind this is the start of the story and now's the time to set up the characters, their positions in the world and so on, so please don't expect the same level of customisation as in the 20th update for GGGB just now! I do want to hear your thoughts and opinions on the starting point for the new characters and mechanics, though! 

What do you think about the new presentation? Graphics, UI, displayables...?

What do you think about the new game mechanics and gameplay?

Do you like the more in depth writing and characters?

And most importantly,  how do you feel about out two new leads? Have I've done good job writing from a male perspective?

I get to the part where Ian is thinking how great it was to see his friends then it says an exception has occurred.

It seems like the stat screen doesn't actually keep track of Lena's stats; it displays a 1 in every column, no matter how many upgrades you get. Is that just on my end? Beyond that, though, I'm loving the first chapter! Excellent art and some very well-written characters.
