Patreon Update (January, 2021) (Patreon)

Hello everyone, here we are at the end of the first month of our new year together!

Last year I usually wrote update posts midway through each month. This month I was unable to due to stressful offline circumstances. I've since been thinking I might prefer to write them at the end of months as a nice way to wrap up each month, as well as a way to look to the month ahead.

So, January was a bit of a mess work wise. If you didn't see the previous update, I received news that will impact my life this year as I try and support my family. I can't lie and tell you that I'll bounce back to full speed after this-- I am very concerned for my sister and I want to be there for her as much as I can. 

I struggled a lot this month with trying to remain productive despite my anxiety/worry for my family. I think that maybe did more harm than good, but I'm going to take steps to take care of myself and prevent burn out.
Thank you so much for being so patient and understanding. The fact you've chosen to support me and my work means so much to me, and I'm incredibly grateful, especially with how unpredictable YT is lately. Because of you, I've been able to pursue dreams, and I hope I can give good dreams in return. 🙏

So. Without further delay, let's get onto the first update of 2021!

This month I finished the Demon Coworker audio for Mother Macabre's "Choose Your Waifu" collaboration, which was overdue from last month. While I'm still feeling a little sheepish she took so long, I'm very happy with the result! I'm trying to be more ambitious with my editing (a big thank you to Mother Macabre for encouraging me to attempt the demonic voice effect), as well as my art and character concepts! 2021 is the year of trying new things!

I restarted the artwork for Date with Your Boss (Do it Or You're Fired). This is her third rework, but I'm finally feeling happy with it! Originally she was very well put together, but I've since decided I want to go for more of a "hot mess/drunk" feel/vibe for the video!
She will be a Patreon exclusive, as a thank you for all the support and encouragement you've given me-- as well as to avoid angering YouTube in case she gets a bit too touchy-feely drunk. 

She's very clearly gotten more drunk in between these pictures, haha

I've decided to alternate between Request a Roleplay winners and original video ideas in order to prevent burnout. That way, each request will be approached with fresh energy for maximum impact! 💪 Not all Request a Roleplay audios will be Patreon exclusive, just the ones I feel might be a bit too much for YouTube (as YouTube is being very scary towards creators and demonetizing them almost at random lately).

When I've finished completing the audios of the current Request a Roleplay winners, I'll make the decision on how we'll go about reopening the poll. However I definitely don't want to do that until we've given our current winners the loving treatment they deserve!

I also want to finish uploading my old audios for download. My old laptop is on its very last legs (its battery has decided it no longer enjoys life, and it will shut off at random) so I am in the process of salvaging the old 2019 audios so I can put the old girl to rest.

I'm not gonna lie, it's kinda nice seeing them together like this. Sort of like a patchwork quilt almost?

I'm also hoping to add one extra perk to the $3 tier. It's not much, but I'd like to start properly uploading my NSFW sketches/art. 👉👈 I've done it once before, and I'd like to do it more often. I like Patreon as a platform to share it because I'm not comfortable sharing NSFW where minors can access it. Thank you to everyone who has supported my endeavours in learning how to draw lewd work!

(I feel like it'll help out as a skill as I also pursue lewd audio work, but we're going slow!)

In other art + streaming news, I've also begun streaming a little more regularly over on Twitch! I stream ASMR with my 3Dio on alternating Fridays/Saturdays, and it's a really fun opportunity to learn about what triggers we can enjoy together, both for streams and future videos! I've bought a bunch of fun trigger objects like gel packs, pop rocks, spray bottles etc, and I plan to incorporate the ones that do well in videos when I can!
I love the RP aspect of my videos, but I'd love to work hard on the ASMR parts too, as those were always the videos that knocked me out when I couldn't sleep!

I'll be working on uploading ASMR stream VODs (unlisted, most likely) to the channel so they can be enjoyed again once they've expired on Twitch. 

I've also begun streaming Fallout and Skyrim on alternating Fridays/Saturdays. So, if it's a Friday or a Saturday, I'm streaming! This is an attempt at a schedule (which I've always been bad at), which I think will help my productivity to have some structure in my life. 

I also stream randomly throughout the week if I have time, including Art Streams. Art streams are a good opportunity for us to chill and workshop on upcoming waifus together, so I love the company! The other week we worked on a cow girlfriend together who I'm hoping to make into an audio during the next two months!

Streams are a chill way for us to hang out and catch up, and help me relax/feel motivated when I'm not working on audio. Thank you if you've ever lurked or chatted in a stream-- I appreciate the encouragement. You really saved me this month. I can't thank you enough.

In other stream news-- VTuber Vivi begins rigging next month. I've had to keep shush about rigging details, but I'm really excited to share any progress I can with you! I can't wait to see her come to life and be able to share this adventure with you.

Also, we are coming up on a pretty big milestone on YouTube--

When I started, I was so overwhelmed when I hit 100 followers. I couldn't believe it. And now, I still can't believe it. I'll try and work out something fun for us to celebrate 50k together when it happens! 

This is the first month I'm not asking for Request a Roleplay submissions, so I guess we'll jump straight to the video schedule and wrap up!
