Patreon Update (October, 2020) (Patreon)

Happy Spookyween, everyone! 

It's my favourite month of the year (and not just because it's my birthday on the 28th, lol)! I hope the scary season has been treating you well. To quickly update you, I'm still working with my temporary tech-fix (a clunky spare keyboard, lol), but I've managed to finish the script for October's video, "Ghost Roommate Wakes You Up at 3am Because You're Out of Orange Juice," and I'll be recording it shortly.
Originally the Ghost Roommate video was scheduled for after a Patreon exclusive (Date with Your Boss (Do it Or You're Fired!), but I felt it was more appropriate for the spooky season, don't you?

Before Ghost Roommate however I am first recording the second half of the 3Dio Trigger Word video-- which is shaping up to be a long video. Not necessarily QnA length (which was approx. 2 hours!), but definitely around the 30 to 40+ minute mark.
This more traditional ASMR audio is teaching me a lot in terms of longer recording sessions-- such as how to prep and what I can and can't eat beforehand in order to reduce the risk of gurgling ;; oof!

I do wonder how much my Australian accent will leak through in this one, and whether or not it'll ruin the words ;; oop

This month has been scary for me-- but in a good way! I had a minor breakthrough with my streaming anxiety, and began streaming on Twitch! I mostly tested the waters with little streams in order to spend time with everyone, like Fall Guys, Tetris, and Skyrim-- and I managed to achieve affiliate in a little under two weeks!
I'd like to thank everyone who has come and spent time with me in these streams. I'm quite slow with creating content and like many I am prone to anxiety (it's the reason I myself started listening to ASMR!), so it's nice to spend some of the moments of downtime I have hanging out and having fun with you.

I've met some really lovely people over on Twitch, including other streamers, some of which do or are looking to get into doing live ASMR! If you haven't tried, check it out-- it's a really different experience!

I also managed to finally celebrate hitting 40k subscribers with the Warhammer 40k: Space Marine livestream over on YouTube! Again, I'd like to thank you for coming and celebrating the milestone with me. It means so much to me that we've come so far together, and I want to cherish each and every step.

Last month I showed a glimpse of the upcoming Vivi VTuber model, and gave an ETA of about a month or so until completion. Sadly, that has been delayed until early 2021, but the upside is that I might be hiring someone who is very capable at Live2D.

As a consolation prize, I'll show you some more of the design. I'm really, really looking forward to seeing her come alive! ⚠️💜

I'll be taking part in a few collaboration streams in the near future, including other ASMRtists and VAs! If you're interested in getting pinged for these, link your Patreon with Discord and get the Stream Squad role so you don't sleep through them!
The Discord is still currently members only (ie. you), but we are considering opening it back up to the public depending on staffing availability.

Last month I took part in two collaborations, another emotional installment of Mother Macabre's Alien Abduction series, and a cute, silly ASMR rendition of the Mean Girls 4-way call, organized by BabyPink ASMR!
I'm taking a short break from audio collaborations for November while I work on audios, hopefully working through the RnR winner backlog!

Before I do the usual sign off, I'd like to remind everyone that I will be temporarily closing Request a Roleplay Polls after December of this year in order to work through the previous winners. I've been feeling really guilty having them pile up due to how long it takes me to make a finished audio, so I'd like to get the pile back down again before I reopen the polls, and also so I can reopen commissions.
