If you watch other more modern movies, you’ll recognize some… motifs (to use a musical term). This movie was a revolution in movie making and story telling in so many ways.

That is interesting that Matrix heavily influenced so much of everything else. When Matrix itself was a hodgepodge of influences from so much else. From Grant Morrison’s comic book series, The Invisibles, to anime like Ghost in the Shell to the actions stylings of Hong Kong director, John Woo.
