Aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnndddddddd......
BOOK BIRTHDAY!
Let's Talk About It is officially released into the wilds today! If you're thinking about picking up a copy, well, today would be especially helpful for the success of our little (big) book, since strong sales numbers on the first day can make a significant impact in how much attention the book-selling-algorithms deem our book worthy of being promoted to people outside Matt's and my immediate audience.
We made this book with 14-17 year olds in mind, basically, 9th-12th graders.
It's a book about sex but actually it's a book about relationships and communication, regardless of whether there be uglies bumping or not (and both of those options are fine and healthy!) It's a book to give young adults the tools to navigate complicated sexual and sex-adjacent situations so that everyone emerges safe and sound on the other side.
For more information on what you can find in this guy, check out...
- Oh Joy Sex Toy: Let's Talk About It (Matt's and my comic-explanation of our book)
- Kirkus ⭐(Starred Review!)
- Publishers Weekly ⭐(Starred Review!)
- Fleen Book Corner (Thoughtful review that totally got what Matt and I were attempting to convey in our book.)
I dunno, man, we're pretty proud of it? I... I think it's... good? Like, nothing's perfect, God only knows. But Matt and I, we feel good about what we made. I think it might actually help some people. And even if people disagree with the stuff we share in there, like, isn't that just helping someone figure out what is right for them? Which is the point of the whole book: figure out what's right for you and be a good human to others.
Who knows!
TIME WILL TELL.
