I really wasn't expecting this, but I did get an invite from a friend to join MidJourney - It's another AI-Art generating software that's similar to Dall-E. I've just started messing with it, but it's STARKLY different from Dall-E, been really interesting to see the differences between the two software -

I didn't see it yet, but it doesn't surprise me. I understand both sides, but the truth is this will become standard software for the world very soon, so we're gonna have to learn to live with it regardless of how we feel. I personally would have separate art competitions for pure human, AI + human, and pure AI. But, I don't make the rules :( It sucks for the hand painters, but as someone who's practiced AI art extensively now, I can tell that the guy who won also had VERY good knowledge and understanding of the piece he was trying to create. He has a mastery of tags and prompt input that most people don't have. He didn't win by random chance, he knew exactly how to describe the perfect painting, and that's hard. There's a reason why most people with Dall-E get random ugly images most of the time. The skill is now in the knowledge of explaining the art.
