i dont usually watch s1p1 during my prev rewatches - but watching this w you guys made me realized how much p1 takes it time for world building and inner monologues so that we understand the characters.

Rewatching with you always reminds me that although the trost arc is vital, it'll take a little bit of time before you realize just how important it is. Just remember everything is vital to the story especially when you're learning more about the characters, pay attention to everything even the stuff in the background 🫣

Despite being stronger than humans, they explained a few eps ago that titans still have similar bodies to humans. Punching a building or other hard object with full force could obliterate a hand or two.

For next week's review, there are episodes 13 and 13.5 on Crunchyroll, you can just ignore watching 13.5 because it's all a recap of what you've seen already. Unlike the Legend of Korra recap episode where it was narrated with new dialogue, this one is just a montage of clips of previous episodes put together.

For Mason Quinn's comment about them not knowing how to take out titans in the early episodes. You gotta remember that those were newly graduated soldiers with Eren and majority have never even seen a titan so ofc those characters wouldn't know how to handle them. Now this new group of people Ian, Rico are very experienced soldiers. And no battles. So they know how to kill the titans. The early episodes are new soldiers or military police who never saw combat like Hannis that's why he couldn't kill a titan that killed Eren's mom he knows no real combat because he is a military police not a scout. There is 3 regiments in their military. The scouts are the ones who usually the ones to kill titans
