In the anime community most people refer to filler as episodes that have nothing to do with driving the story forward (ex. a beach episode lol) I think this episode was just slower paced compared to the previous ones. AOT is one of the few anime that doesn't have any filler episodes. The first season overall is slower compared to the other seasons in my opinion. Anyways I get so excited every Monday for these uploads.

Now i finally know who is Kenny Omega, big reveals as always lol

Fun fact. The intro doesn’t change at all except for when a different season or part to a season. Also sometimes in OVA’s

TinCan Cosmanaut

never heard of kenny omega, more of a ufc guy

So fun fact about the airing history of Attack on Titan! Season 1 came out in 2013 and there was a FOUR YEAR gap between season 1 and 2. This was because the Manga it is adapted from was only reaching the beginning of what would be season 2. The final wait time was also the last 2 episodes of season 4 had a 4 month wait in-between, which was terrible. lol

I can confirm there's at least 90%+ intensity in the dubbed version. I have ADHD so I can't watch the show, while staying in time with your reaction, and stair at subtitles the whole time, so I'm watching the dubbed along with you and love it. Dubbed is incredible too!

Dubbed would definitely take away from the AoT experience - the japanese cast are definitely iconic. I think the problem with the dubbed is that they try to match the voice intensity of the acting, but since it's a forced imitation, it sounds super unnatural and cringe-y

Guys, have you noticed that the dialogue is quite good? Did you notice how people are talking in this show in a realistic and grown up way? The reason AOT is appreciated isn’t just because of the action or the twists but because the author really had things to say. So in this slower episodes, I wouldn’t consider them slower even, but the weight of the words spoken is a big part of the story and should be really taken into consideration because later the story will become more complex and it’s better to pay attention to the themes presented here.
