Once more, Chernobyl delivers a chilling episode. The haunting and minimalist musical score, coupled with exceptional camera work, ultimately define the gripping and enthralling nature of Chernobyl. The intensity is palpable in both meetings portrayed, showcasing the harrowing efforts to manage the crisis upon arrival. The abundance of well-crafted shots maintains engagement, while the numerous scenes depicting Chernobyl's thick, poisonous fumes effectively underscore the gravity of the situation.

If you haven't seen this, we highly recommend giving it a shot.

Do you guys have a discord for patreon members? If not, is it something in consideration?

Just like The Last of Us, HBO also released a post-episode podcast with Craig Mazin discussing and giving insights for each episode of the show. Highly recommend listening to the respective podcast episode after your reaction during your spare time.

So the firefighter's clothes part was true, and the clothing is still in that hospital basement today. Also for the radiation readings, they said 8 milliroentgen at the start of the episode in Minsk, while last episode the readings at Chernobyl were 3.6 roentgen, not milli

I just want to clarify, mostly for Answer, the scene where they were reading the radioactive matter was not the city near the power plant. Pripyat is the town that is now considered "Chernobyl." Minsk is about 250 miles away, where the institute is. And, although it is dramatized, the evacuation was very abrupt and nobody had any indication that they wouldn't return after the situation was quelled

Any thoughts about watching Band of Brothers the other classic top tier HBO show

Hey if you guys start watching on amazon does that mean my timing will be off with hbo in the states and ill have to buy it?

TinCan Cosmanaut

Please dont google anything yet guys i promise the show will answer most of your current questions

Badd Medicine

Great question. We do rent a lot on Amazon. We haven't seen really any issues when we do. But again, if the majority are having issues, then we will consider Amazon since we never really see any issues. 🤙

I'm watching your reaction along with my 4K Blu Ray copy, and it syncs perfectly, so I'd say that the HBO version is the correct/original speed. So please stay on the HBO version!

It’s crazy to think how our views of Gorbachev is different from Russians. Also, perestroika is also looked at differently. Love the reactions and thank you for leaving the timeline up. It’s easier if I had to pause and catch back up.

The YouTube playback extension for chrome works perfectly, you can speed up more precisely there Thanks to the person who recommended before!

I love this show so much, I’m so glad all 4 of you are watching and becoming as engrossed as I was! It’s truly an incredible show and so well shot, I can’t wait for you guys to finish it! If possible I’d love to make a suggestion for something else to watch? The BBC show Sherlock, with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Please have a look at it to see if you guys might be interested, it’s an incredibly well written show and I’d love to see you guys react to all the twists! Thanks for another great reaction guys 👏🏻

If you would watch it on Amazon I think my version will then be sync with your but you don't need to do it if majority don't have any issues with the way you are doing right now. I am just happy you are watching this great show

With every video you guys upload, I understand why this is the only Patreon channel of which I am a member. Great reaction as always. This mini-series is something else. I am so glad to watch this one more time with all of you. <3 <3 <3

The refreshing thing about this series is that even though it takes dramatic liberties, it explains itself by the end. It doesn't try to hide facts. It acknowledges that it takes liberties for the sake of drama, but everything it does is based on real life events. Once you've seen all 5 episodes, you have been hit with all the important facts and human drama, even if it had to rework some things for TV.

Megan D

As always love the reaction and your talk afterwards. It could be interesting to watch a documentary on Chernobyl after you finish the series so you can see what was dramatized.
