Hereditary transcends the conventions of traditional horror, birthing a chilling symphony that resonates in the deepest recesses of the psyche. The film unfurls the tapestry of the Graham family's unraveling sanity, weaving a narrative so psychologically intense that it lingers long after the credits roll.

At the film's core is Toni Collette's unparalleled performance as Annie Graham. Her portrayal of a grieving mother navigating the treacherous waters of familial darkness is nothing short of fantastic. Toni Collette masterfully conveys the visceral horror of her character's journey, ensuring every emotional beat lands with harrowing precision. Shout out to Alex Wolff, Milly Shapiro, Ann Dowd, and Gabriel Byrne for their great performances as well.

Hereditary distinguishes itself with a deliberate pacing that borders on hypnotic. Ari Aster crafts an atmosphere of lingering dread, allowing tension to build like a pressure cooker. The slow burn erupts into moments of pure, unbridled terror, leaving audiences in a state of perpetual unease. Ari Aster employs meticulous detail and symbolism, creating an immersive experience that demands repeated viewings. From unnerving miniatures to nightmarish visions, every frame contributes to the film's haunting aesthetic.

The film's meticulous sound design forms a dissonant symphony that becomes a character itself. This auditory assault mirrors the psychological disintegration on screen, intensifying the film's impact on a primal level.

This reaction was everything I hoped it would be. Loved how Oak went through an entire journey with his reaction and opinion of this movie lmao

You guys should dim out the lights a bit when you’re watching movies, especially horror movies. You missed the scary shot of the mom up on the bedroom ceiling when Peter woke up, the naked man in the door smiling at Peter, the two naked women in the corner when Peter was in the attic … 😂 A truly disturbing yet amazing (?) movie about inter generational grief and trauma, I had trouble sleeping for days after watching this movie. Charlie death scene was just … 🥹🥹🥹

You guys should watch the first Saw (the 3 after are also pretty good but it’s pretty gory, and the rest of the movies are just dogshit) But if you don’t want to embark in the franchise, I really think the first one could be a really interesting watch, it was really more of a horror/thriller, than the gore fest that the other movies became

ElmSt Reactions

will need to wait for youtube cut, this isnt free on my amazon prime

Waited over a year for this reaction and it was well worth every second of wait. The guys’ whiplash of emotions was priceless. 😂😂😂

As someone else mentioned, you guys didn't see any of the dark shots. Earlier in the movie the mom saw her dead mother standing in her workroom when she shut off the lights. I noticed you guys didn't see it at all. Another scene was near the end when Charlie wakes up in bed, after the father burned, he sits up and in the top left corner his mom is crouched up in the ceiling. It's a pretty long scene and you guys didn't see her at all! 😆 Then when the angle changes the person you guys saw run behind him was actually still the mother and she was floating/running through the air. It's the creepiest moment in the movie so it sucks you guys didn't see it! Lol Not sure if it's the lighting in your room or maybe the lighting needs adjusted on the monitor/screen display. But hope that helps for future movies! Maybe replay the movie at that scene and see what needs adjustment. ❤️ I noticed you guys did see the mom a bit when Charlie went downstairs and saw his dad and was standing by the fireplace because that scene had a little more light. There was a naked man standing in that doorway as well which seemed like it was hard for you guys to tell if it was his mom or not. Anyways, loved your reaction! This was a one-time watch for me but I always enjoy reactions because it's freaking wild. Lol

SPOILERS: I cried the first time I saw the daughter's demise. I forgot most of the movie and now have a 3 month old and it was so much worse to see now. The acting is incredible, and I forgot majority of the film from the first time but now it's ingrained in me and I wish I didn't watch it a second time. I had to see the reaction though and loved it, thanks for your watch!

See, the first time I saw this movie I made the mistake of watching it alone in the dark at like 2 in the morning. I was the only one awake in the house at the moment. This is easily my favorite A24 movie. And this is definitely my favorite of you guys' reactions. There are four or five scenes that have stuck with me and I was waiting to see your reactions to them. I was messed up for a few days after I saw this for the first time for sure.

Hey guys. Thank you for the reaction. I'm a girl, and I live alone. I couldn't watch this by myself that's why I joined your Patreon to watch this together. cause I saw this on your Youtube felt interesting. But I would've very glad if you guys put the movie visible and made it bigger. Not everyone can afford two desktop, and play the movie at the exact same time. It's just an opinion of mine. but great reaction. Thanks! Keep going.
