This episode does a great job of balancing its themes of mental breakdown and supernatural components. All of the Usher children have suffered from psychosis, which has led to hallucinations. It’s intriguing to watch how each of the Usher children was adversely affected by their family’s extraordinary fortune.

The episode also features a fascinating back-and-forth between Madeline and Verna. These two characters are by far the strongest in the show and an interaction between them was fascinating and absolutely chilling.

I'm sad this is the last Flanniverse show we may get for a while and we'll have to wait at least another year for more bonus ASMR commentary from yall 😂 To respond to Diamond Dave's question— I think we never saw any other wives because he never married any of the others. All of the kids after 'Frodrick' and Tamerlane were born outside of marriage, and that's why they were called "The Basdards." I also think we see so much of Annabell because she's the last woman he really loved. The next episode is my favorite of the bunch. Can't wait to watch with yall!

This may be my top favourite episode and the most satisfying death, Fredrick's death scene was great and I really enjoyed how even Verna was "shocked" by what he did. Loving your reactions!

I have started yesterday watching "The Midnight Club" after first episode I can say I am interested in seeing what will next happen, it also helps that I have watched every other Flanagan's show and now that I know all the actors and liked them I am even more interested in this show.

I love how Verna seems to have her own moral compass. She gave all of the siblings at least one chance to do the right thing and have a painless death, but not Freddie. He pissed her off so much that she chose to not give him even the option. And remember Freddie seems to be kind of claustrophobic as he hates elevators, so him being unable to move for minutes as the building slowly came down unto him must have been terrifying. So for me his death was really satisfying. Can't wait for next weeks episode!
