This episode is a brilliant and eerie adaptation. Madeline briefly refers to her boss as "The Old Man" in a flashback. She emphasizes her visit to the boss to examine his eyes, as eyes are considered the windows to the soul which we think was a mention in Poe's tale. The episode flawlessly incorporates the iconic ticking and pounding sounds from "The Tell-Tale Heart."

Visual imagery in this episode continues to captivate. Roderick's hallucination, featuring a burned Prospero in a clown jester's form, is profoundly unsettling. The use of sound in the episode is spine-tingling. The rhythmic and ominous ticking and beating sounds add to the overall sense of dread and are executed brilliantly. Fantastic episode!!!

Mister Lou

great reaction! I love this episode, especially the wink to the audience, when she said "How'd you get passed Kevin Costner?" a play on her "Bodyguard", obviously eluding to the movie Starring Him and Whitney Houston, but also a wink and a nod to Kevin and Madeline's actress, Mary McDonnell, who also starred along side Kevin Costner in Dances With Wolves.
