Greetings everyone! We've opted for the Extended Version, and we hope that suits everyone's preferences. This version was accessible on Amazon Prime, and we thought it'd be interesting to give it a shot.

Director Ridley Scott's "Black Hawk Down" is a powerful war film that offers an unflinching look into the brutal realities of combat. Set during the intense Battle of Mogadishu in 1993, the film immerses you in the chaos and heroism of a U.S. military mission gone awry.

The movie boasts an ensemble cast of talented actors, a lot of them! Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, and Eric Bana, just to name a few, who deliver outstanding performances that help us connect with the soldiers on the ground. Their camaraderie and fear are palpable, making the characters relatable and three-dimensional.

What truly sets "Black Hawk Down" apart is its relentless action sequences. The film's combat scenes are nothing short of harrowing, with the streets of Mogadishu becoming a chaotic battleground. Ridley Scott's direction, combined with masterful cinematography, pulls you into the heart of the conflict. The film doesn't shy away from the moral complexities of war. It raises important questions about the human cost of military operations and the sacrifices made by those on the front lines.

Hans Zimmer's haunting score adds emotional depth to the film, enhancing its impact. Black Hawk Down is a testament to the resilience and bravery of the soldiers involved, as well as a stark reminder of the harsh realities of combat. We highly recommend this film if you haven't seen it.

I don't think I ever appreciated the movie for what it was more, than when I watched it with y'all just now. I always forget how haunting and amazing this film is.

Durant, the pilot that was captured, wrote a book sharing the details of this experience as well. It was very good. Tom Hardy was actually in Band of Brothers as well. That's a show I'd love to see you react too. Best WWII series ever.

I was a junior in high school when this went down and the controversy over it was all anyone talked about. Nothing but respect for the young men that were there. It hit hard being they were very close to my age. Amazing movie, thankfully they did leave some of the more gruesome details out.

It's been so long since I saw this, I didn't realize our own Jaime Lannister is in this! Lol
