In this sequel, Elle leaves her comfortable Harvard Law background to fight for animal rights in Washington, D.C. What follows is a mix of Elle's signature charm, unexpected moments, and an exploration of the complexities of political activism. The film balances its lightheartedness with a message about the importance of staying true to oneself while navigating unfamiliar terrain.

Witherspoon's energy and charisma are still evident, but the movie struggles to capture the same level of engagement as its predecessor. The humor sometimes feels forced, and the plot takes Elle into situations that stretch believability. The sequel does try to convey a message about staying true to oneself, but it gets lost amid the exaggerated scenarios and over-the-top antics. The cast did great with what they were given. The story just wasn't there. Sorry y'all, just not as good as the first.

Not a great sequel true… but there are still some funny quotes that my friends and I say all the time. The Hot Dog line is a favorite

The first one was better I am excited for the third one because the writers are taking their time.

I think most sequels aren't as good. I like that this kinda brought Elle back to her roots a little. Let's not forget it was her knowledge of beauty that won her case in the first film. Sure law school made her more serious, but this is also something she had passion for. She needed to be less serious because it's what actually helped her.

When I voted for Legally Blonde in the poll, I was only voting for the first movie. I don't not believe the rule about sequels always being worse but this sequel really helps the argument. I was worried at the opening credits when I watched it in theaters but when I knew it wasn't going to be good was when she shows up to DC.
