It was truly thrilling to have more of The Walking Dead. However, this time we embark on a journey with Negan and Maggie, and the first episode sets a strong tone. The storytelling remained focused and tight, although we did have a few minor criticisms that didn't detract from our overall enjoyment. The episode featured fantastic flashbacks and cleverly placed Easter eggs. The tension was done well, leaving us eagerly anticipating episode 2.

Unfortunately in Germany is the Dead City release date not know yet. And then I saw that the villain in the show is someone named "the Croat" I mean that is really bad PR for us Croats😂

Lol... Understandable. This one is for Maggie and Negan. Daryl has one coming in the fall then next year we get Rick and Michonne together in one.

I thought this was a great opening. It really felt like good old classic TWD with walkers being a threat and loved the new things like cockroaches and the mouse. I also definitely could see Maggie being mad at Negan again because Negan essentially helped make this guy who took Hershel. He has bits of Negan to him. Excited for the rest!

After watching, it seems the whistle really triggered her (along with Hershel being taken) just another reminder of Negan and that day for her.

Strong start for sure, just hoping they can keep it going for the next 5 eps. I wasn't expecting them to flashback to Glenn's death like that at all, but I'm glad they did because I think its necessary.

About to start watching this, I have not seen walking dead at all so I was trying to figure out if it was okay for me to watch this without having seen walking dead first.

For half of this its best to have a little bit of the back story so you understand the motivations for Maggie and Negan. But you can always watch this and go back to watch the main show. If you get the time, it's pretty good.
