Kong Skull Island FULL REACTION

Not a bad film at all!!! We got a lot more of Kong than we did of Godzilla. haha. Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L Jackson, John Goodman, Toby Kebbell, Shea Whigham, Corey Hawkins, and many others delivered exceptional performances, making the majority of the human characters extremely likable. The movie moves at a brisk pace, wasting no time in introducing Kong and showcasing his immense strength and intelligence.

Another thing we appreciated about "Kong: Skull Island" was its sense of humor. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments sprinkled throughout the film, and the chemistry between the cast is really enjoyable to watch. That being said, we will admit that the movie isn't without its flaws. Some nit picks with the story, but nothing to hinder it at all. Still a good film to watch.

Kong Skull Island FULL REACTION

See this is why I support you guys, just sat casually minding my own business then BOOM a film night with the boys 😊 Can't wait to see your reaction to the cast on this one!

KamiGema

Personal qualms about Brie aside, I thought she had an excellent performance.

Dustee Lodholtz

Loading it up on HBO now lol will return after we watch this together

Stevie Dane

She did absolutely nothing wrong, just like Katherine Heigl they are women voicing their opinion, and people tarnishing their name for that.

Shane Kolaga

KOTM (The next one) I believe (both myself and general consensus) is the best one out of all of them so far! Also they announce the other day a teaser for the next movie (After they told us Kaiju fans they were done! #ContinuetheMonsterverse haha).

So, instead of capitalizing on a well done performance by Brie. Y’all thought it was okay, to be passive aggressive? First, maybe fault of my own, but I should’ve worded it better, but I specifically do not have an issue with her. However many people do not like her demeanor outside of acting, hence “personal qualms aside”. So, no I don’t have a problem with Brie, but even if I did, I don’t think the passive aggression was warranted.

They congratulated her performance. I really don’t see the maturity or point in interrogating someone for an opinion they have.

This came out right around the time Hiddleston was getting mentioned as the potential new Bond (which it sure sounds like is not going to happen), and this movie is what convinced me he would be a great choice. Which is wild, since other than being an SAS agent, the character really isn't at all like Bond. But I do think it's hard to watch this and NOT think, "Man, that guy would be a great 007."

Enjoyed y'all's reaction! Any thoughts of adding *End of Watch* to your future watchlist?

Dustee Lodholtz

I can not wait for Godzilla vs Kong 🖤🖤 Loved the reaction, never actually knew there was a post credit scene until just now so that was actually pretty cool seeing all the upcoming monsters if they continue but once again like I said great reaction I can't wait for the next ☺️🖤🤘🏻

The cave paintings in order was, Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidora, teasing to Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, which was amazing, a lot lot lot of epic kaiju fighting coming your way next week. I don't care for Kong as much as I do other Kaijus, but he's still an awesome one and loved this movie, a good mix of action, comedy, and even horror I would say. Would say, compared to Godzilla, where its an "open world" environment mixing with humans, Skull Island being self contained with its own fauna, makes it easier to get into the action faster because of it, which Godzilla(us ver) rectified once they could open the world up to more classic kaijus coming into the movie - world. Sams character, while understandable, was still so frustrating lol. The one thing that makes me ugh, was, because this film takes place close to 40 years before our current movie timeline, we're not going to get anymore Tom or Brie, unless they do more movies that takes place in the past, lile prequels or Origin plots. Also enjoyed seeing Miyavi (Gunpei), though it was a small part, he's a rock musician that I've been following since 99-'00, so I'm always excited to see him breaking more into the film industry ( he's slso in Unbroken, Maleficent, Kate, Bleach, and much more)

Kongs height in the 2005 movie is 25 ft tall. In this he's 104 ft. Next time you see this Kong he'll be 356 ft tall.

in fairness to Marquis and Stevie, "personal qualms" is a 1st person statement. If you yourself don't have have any personal qualms, it is kinda weird that you would even say it in the first place.

Yes, true. They claim that it was “in general” doesn’t add up, but at the same time, I don’t think it was a rude original comment. What is rude though is starting unnecessary banter. Just seems like they got offended because of an opinion.

Third time watching this after a while and man does it still hold up. Beautiful cinematography too, shout out to larry fong. Great reaction and cant wait to hear what you guys think about the next godzilla movie. 👀😁🤙

Oulianor Timothee

this was fine but I prefer the the Jack black Kong...

Sarah

I thought this was the 2005 King Kong (with Jack Black) and I got so excited!! I was about to watch it and... I realized my mistake. Lol 🤣 2005 one is crazy good and is actually directed by Peter Jackson! (Lord of The Rings) Would you guys ever consider reacting to it? 🤞

Carrie Petty

King Kong was the first movie I ever cried over...I was 6 in my defense but to this day, I cannot stand to see people hurt him, gets me every time.

Alex Boatman

I do like the detail even in this movie how they said he's young and still growing. And the next time we see him in film it's been about 40 years.

Stephanie

Great reaction. I'm so glad that you liked it, because I read some comments on YouTube that were not that nice. Funny though that this movie made me a fan of Tom Hiddleston. It was only after I saw Kong Skull Island that I watched the Thor movies and became a huge Loki fan. 😄😊

Stephanie

Yes, it is and you mentioned The Night Manager, so I guess you have seen this great miniseries!? I'm always happy when people recognize his other roles, because he is such a great actor that shouldn't be reduced to Loki.😊

Tara

Shoot... I thought this was the one with Naomi Watts, Jack Black and Adrien Brody. Oh well...
