Mako finished Season 2 before passing. Greg Baldwin who grew up listening to Mako sing in the Cast Album of Pacific Overtures that Mako starred in on Broadway and won a tony award for best actor in a musical. Baldwin takes over the role of Iroh doing a stunning impersonation of Mako. He actually did one part of Tales of Ba Sing Se with the kids playing ball although he doesn't sound as good as he does in season 3.

Today is my birthday and so this is the best gift ever! I turned 22 today. Anyways, I was hoping all week that maybe just maybe you guys would upload Avatar on a Sat and it actually happened... That is just so awesome :) Thank you (obviously it was unintentional, but still thank you)

I think Toph saying appearances don’t matter to her was a defensive statement, because it clearly did matter to her and Katara telling her she looked pretty helped to elevate her mood. It’s hard to be a girl and not want to be seen as pretty or beautiful and I find the ones who make those comments usually struggle with feeling they are pretty. Toph would have grown up knowing beauty was important to her mother and other females and definitely struggled as she could not see for herself what beauty looked like and knowing how she fit in.

Maybe im wrong and if i am correct me, but i thought i read somewhere that Mako sang this song when he knew he was going to die from cancer. That makes it even more heartbreaking. Alot of important moments and character growth and then you have Sokka hahaha. What i love about episode 14, is that in this whole show, they've been talking about Ba Sing Se as the great wonderful city, safe from the firenation and if you live there you will have a very good life. The place where you can find answers and help. Then they change the whole vibe you got from this city and show you how it really is. The same as in alot of countries in our world. Just like you guys said: "Nothing is what is seems".

Ba Sing Se is cool and all but I love me some short tales. SO many short great lessons in this one. I love seeing aang do his avatar thing and help the people with average problems, I love seeing Katara and Toph getting to have a moment together that wasn't about being there for aang, I love the lessons on loss whether it was the depictions of Momo missing Appa like any pet would to another family pet or the permanent loss of a family member and a small piece of the grieving process, and most of all I love that Sokka, yet again, bending backs across the nations.
