This was really done. A very nice tribute to Chadwick Boseman throughout the film. His presences was missed indeed. Angela Bassett just knocked it out of the park on this one. Danai Gurira was fantastic! Winston Duke was underused a bit. Would've liked to have seen him in a bigger role. Story was good. The tone of this film was great. Overall, well done here Marvel.

What was your reaction? Did we miss anything?

So pumped for this reaction! Happy Black History Month to me and everyone else 😂❤

I think Letitia really showed the range she has this time around in a way that her role in the first Black Panther film didn’t call for. I hope this opens more doors for her as an actress.

I’m not gonna lie. I was very hesitant when it was announced that Shuri was gonna be the new black panther, not because I didn’t like her (I enjoyed her in the first movie), but because they were other great candidates for black panther like Nakia, Okoye and M’baku. But after I saw it I was quite surprised of how much I love her as the new black panther. It made sense to the story on how both her and Namor felt broken and driven by vengeance, just like killmonger. She felt like she couldn’t save her brother and that she wasn’t capable of being a hero like him. But throughout the movie she learn to heel by becoming the black panther. Also I love that they essentially recast T’challa without recasting him by having his son name after him. That way they honour Chadwick but also keep the character alive.

Was waiting for this 🖤🖤

Nakia Smith

I was heartbroken when Chadwick Boseman passed away. All I could think about was how the internet made fun of him for being so thin towards the end, not knowing what he was going through. He was definitely missed in this movie by me, but overall I enjoyed it.

Fun fact about the Namor character: He is the first comic book character to fly. Even before Superman. This character was created way before Stan Lee even ran Marvel comics in the year 1939. Stan didn't even start working for the company until 1961.

Aro

Love the throw back to Chadwick's comment from his first appearance in MCU in Captain America: The Civil War - "Vengeance consumed you, I'm done with it consuming me"

Y’all didn’t notice but the kid who showed the Queen to Nakia was baby T’Challa and him being born to someone with the powers of the black panther he’ll be a mutant just like Namor.

Danai was my favorite too. Well honestly Angela Basset, but Okoye is also my favorite character in this world and Danai was incredible as always. Honestly Leticia had a HUGE responsibility in this film and moving forward in the MCU and she killed it. I also loved Namor as a character and his dynamic with Shuri. Beautifully done, love Ryan Coogler. And I definitely cried so much throughout and during the rewatch.

This was truly amazing to watch in theaters and feel as though everyone got to mourn together. Chadwick meant so much for the Black community - representing the 1st Black superhero as the title character of the movie (made specifically for the community). It was as if everyone in the theater got to grieve together and heal / get closure. Done very well and can’t wait to see where they take this. As someone of Native American descent, seeing someone like Namor on screen was tremendous and am excited for the next chapter 🔥

Milly

fun fact: Riri's hero name is Iron Heart. when Shuri is trying to recreate the heart-shaped plant, Riri is making her new costume, and at one moment a piece of iron in the shape of the heart falls on the floor, which I think is a fun hint on her superhero name.

I am glad y'all enjoyed it. I zoned out after thirty minutes. Didn't care for it, but that said, I have never been a fan of Marvel or DC films... Not in my wheelhouse.

Stevie Dane

So far, from all the movies marvel made: this one had the best sound design and music. In cinema the music was INSANE!

Grandma’s4GreatReacts

Wow Ron, I didn’t know that about the Submariner! But I remember him…comics were my passport to becoming a better reader!

I liked their tributes to Chadwick in this movie. I was so confused when the underwater people first showed up in the movie and I had the same thought as Mason with them being sirens. Then when I saw them later, I couldn’t help but think they reminded me of the aliens in Avatar. I feel like it is a huge plot hole that there is no explanation for how Namor and his people got through the Wakandan shield as I am sure it goes underwater to prevent people from entering that way. I also had a problem with the Black Panther basically pulling the pole out of her gut and walking on and jumping over Namor, like she didn’t just suffer a mortal wound, and that pulling the pole out should have caused worse damage and there was no medic around to offer life saving techniques and surgery. So I see this as another plot hole. Other than the plot holes, I did enjoy the movie and would probably rate it about the same as Mason. 😎

Brenda Kai

That hasn’t been confirmed yet. T’Chaka, T’Challa and Shuri’s father, was the black panther before his son took the role and neither of them were mutants

Maria

Absolutely loved your guys' reaction! I watched this movie in theaters and you're right, not many dry eyes during every part addressing/honoring Chadwick. Personally that call out line about vengeance to T'Challa 's line in Civil War hit me hard since I love that movie. And Oak loving Angela Bassett is very relatable, she really is amazing! Hope you're watching 9-1-1, Oak, she's so good in that role as well lol

Myranda

I always assumed there was technology in the suit that helped heal her. Cuz it sews itself up immediately so I assumed that it closed off her wound enough for the time being. But like I said that is just an assumption i had when watching it, but it makes sense. They have the technology for it, so why wouldn't they have life-saving measures installed into the BLACK PANTHER suit.

Ana

When is the YouTube cut coming for this?

Hoping the next 72 hours. We have the last of us going to delay some editing and we have a few other items running all at the same time. Hope for a Saturday/Sunday release.

So when i watched this in theaters it had just come out so the whole room was full of people. But when they played that funeral scene in the beginning, it was so quiet I never experienced anything like that before. You could hear a feather fal that's how quiet it was in there.

ElijahKovortu

Just a bit of Trivia. Namor actually came out in the comics before Aquaman.
