Yay! You guys rock!

Anza

Lucky days, this episode. The poor twins man.... my 2nd fav episodes

Jenna

oh my god so excited to watch this during my work break! also, i hope y’all are able to note the masterful cinematography of episode 6 for next week. there are only about 5 cuts the ENTIRE episode—it’s full of 10 and 20 minute one shots! it’s remarkable!

Whitney Ulerio Duverna

You guys are picking this up clues amazingly. I am so excited to continue watching you guys experience this amazing series. And to Oak, you’re welcome lol 😂

Sarah.the.clumsy

Did you see the little hands under the desk when Nell was getting scolded about the wall? That creeped me out

Sangria D.

Oh guys your faces were priceless! Amazing reaction as always. I'm in love with this series. So happy seeing you guys enjoy it just as much. Oh boy, it gets even better.

Cubonemaker

Oh hell yeah two in one week! You guys are spoiling us. Keep ‘em coming boys!

Oak, I am pretty sure I made the same expression you did when I watched this show for the first time and found out Nell was the Bent Neck Lady. 😄 It’s a ride getting to experience this again with you guys. The show is based off of the book, “The Haunting of Hill House” by Shirley Jackson. Her story is vastly different from the show, and Flanagan and company did a great job at sticking references to the book throughout the episodes. Fun fact (someone may have already said this), but Nell’s psychiatrist, Dr. Montague, is played by Russ Tamblyn, who played Luke in the 1963 adaptation of the book. You guys might appreciate that one; it’s well crafted and considered a horror classic. The 1999 (?) remake with Owen Wilson and Liam Neeson is an absolute dumpster fire, but kind of enjoyable if you’re in the mood to poke fun at a movie. Looking forward to joining you at episode 6! 👍🏻

His Bly Manor and Midnight Mass shows are not as perfect, but still great and definitely need to watch as well. Midnight Club is fun, not where the others are though.

Michael Riley

I’ve seen this show 5 times and it gets better every time

The reveal at the end was just so amazing. I love this TV show because the horror/thriller aspect is just the vessel for an amazing family drama. It really encapsulates grief and death and all the consequences, and the next episode is the greatest exemple of all of that.

Mina

I’ll never get enough of watching people react to this show such an amazing experience. Bly Manor is also amazing and these two shows are my absolute favorites.

Kiana Barbieri

Loved the discussion at the end with Oak making some interesting points! Can't wait for ep.6! It's comprised mostly of one shots and it's just really well done. You guys should check out the bts of how they shot ep. 6 too after just for fun :)

GillyBean

True, i'd say they are not as good but only in the sense that HOHH is a 10/10 and the others are a 9.9/10

Margarita

Omg, this is the best surprise! I just kind of had a rough day and you guys definitely made it better!

Roxanne LIL CRIP Kemmerer

This episode is personally a tough watch.... too close to home. The sleep paralysis, my brother Rocky, it's hard to rewatch. But it's done SO WELL, you can see the care they took in the writing and directing. Flanagan is a GENIUS, I've seen a lot of his work and they're all bangers imo. The reaction was SO GOOD guys! I'm so glad you guys are so into this show.... can't wait for the next one🤘🏻

Just a heads up. The intro does change as the show progresses. Give you little hints. But might not be important enough for you to sit through

stephanie

i wasnt expecting this today omg i love you guys

Jon C

I typed "not as good" at first, but then decided it didn't do them justice, especially Midnight Mass. Midnight Club is good, but not nearly as gripping as the others. I keep getting sidetracked away from it.

Halestar

Holy crap. I'm watching along with you guys and that's the only reason I'm making it through this haha. But wow what an episode. It's really phenomenal how they've told the story so far. I can't wait to see what the heck is going on with the mom. I also think she has to be possessed or something because she seemed to love her kids and family and be a good mom and then BAM. I'm excited (and terrified) to see more!

TinaLama

Nice! Two episodes this weeks is a treat! I wonder how hard it must be for you all to not binge watch all the episodes at once. My first time watching, i had the problem of not knowing which episode to stop on. 🫠 Each episode is so good and they always leave you on a cliffhanger. 😭 I have come to love this watch alongs with you all. Can’t wait for more!

Badd Medicine

Haha really the thing that stops us is it's late at night when we are able to record 😂😂😂

TinaLama

Yea that totally makes sense. But you know, I bet watching it at night set the whole mood for watching this type of content. I am such a scaredy-cat when it comes to watching scary stuff, but I couldn’t help watching it at night too. 😅😅 Y’all are freaking awesome!

Ron Banks

Woah. I'm just now realizing this isn't a regular ghost show. This show uses ghosts as a metaphor for trauma.

Anonymous

Wow what a surprise, thank you guys for putting this up early. Can't wait for episode 6!

Halestar

Yes! I don't usually watch scary shows but saw that you all were watching and have heard good things so decided to give it a go!

Angelina

2 in 1 week?! Y’all are GENEROUS lol Thank you!! Awesome reaction, y’all!! At first I was watching with y’all, but I was getting too scared at night (and I suffer from sleep paralysis too 🥲) so I had to watch ahead. The knowledge makes it less scary 😆 Y’all are in for a RIDE!! And I’m having the time of my life watching y’all react how I did 🤣 Can’t wait for the next one 🔥

I am so excited you guys finally got to this episode. Nell's story is so tragic, the whole time she was haunting herself which is such a sad twist. This is one of my favorites because I love the call backs it has to earlier episodes. When Steve sees ghost Nell in his apartment in the first episode after she dies, she is wearing the same exact outfit she wore when she confronted him in front of "all of his little fans", he sees her in that outfit because that's the last thing he saw her in before she dies. The same thing happens with Luke in his episode when he sees her in front of his bed, she is wearing the same outfit she wore when she bought him the drugs and dropped him off at rehab. In the first episode as well, Theo tells Shirley that she hasn't talked to Nell since LA and we finally get to see why in this episode. Little details like this just make this show even better in my opinion. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this already but the show is based off of a book and there was an older movie made in the 60's and the Luke from the older movie is actually played by the guy who plays Nell's therapist, it's a fun little cameo. Lastly, the house does seem very creepy in the show but in reality it is actually a real house that is about an hour away from where I live. It is a popular place to take wedding photos at so when I first watched the show I was taken aback when I saw the house because I had a feeling I had been there before and it turns it I had. Sorry for the length of this comment these were just some fun facts I thought you guys would enjoy! I can't wait for the next episode!!!!

Rhea H Pelotto

So glad you guys didn't figure out the "Bent Neck Lady" reveal until right before it happened!! It's so freakin good!! But, CLEARLY, the best part of this reaction was Dimond Dave invoking the MIGHTY FLYING V!! "QUACK QUACK QUACK" sure takes me back!! Speaking of nostalgia, have you guys realized who the "younger" Dad is yet?? Thats Henry Thomas aka Elliot from E.T.!! He looks just a tad different now

Kaitlin Tulbert

Please watch Haunting of Bly Manor after this I think that storyline is fascinating as well

Anonymous

I am loving these reactions! The long takes in Episode 6 are amazing, I am so looking forward to the next one. Oh, and Nellie flushed her meds so that Luke could get clean in rehab. *twin thing*

Annie Adkins-Calloway

I was shook the first time I watched this episode. I agree with others the next episode is brilliant as well. This show is a masterclass in storytelling and casting. The child actors have done amazing with these heavy roles.

TinCan Cosmanaut

This show is effen amazing. Please do a reaction to all the ghosts in the backround on youtube after finishing the series! It's like 10m clip. You won't regret it. Also Netflix green lit 2 more show for Mike Flanagan (show creator) after this Hit!

TinCan Cosmanaut

What is th RED ROOM?? (I Know.... I wont say) AHH binge this mneffer lol.

Tom Ekstrand

This isn't a request for a reaction, but you have to check this out. This is Henry Thomas, the guy who plays the younger version of the dad in Hill House, when he auditioned for ET. They only gave him the scenario, and he improvised this whole scene. Watching his performance gets me every time. https://youtu.be/tA5giyG8E7g

Shirlene Wright

Incredible episode! Fantastic reaction. When you complete the series I suggest you watch it again. I am still seeing things that I have missed!

Sally Dowse

I love these series. The story is so good. After you have done this one you should definitely check out the haunting of bly Manor. Just as good and with some of the same actors in.

HXBBIT_FEET

Haha knew you guys would be shocked, fantastic show with brilliant script, acting, ending - its perfect!!

Anonymous

I get why this is everyone’s favorite of Mike Flanagan’s work. But definitely check out Midnight Mass. The lessons in that were brilliant. And equally brilliant characters and storytelling as Hill House.

Caroline Price

Can you add some background videos on the making of it? I really think you all would love some of the details you may have missed in each of the episodes. It makes you want to rewatch the series

Anonymous

Yep tv show by same creator/writer. He likes to reuse actors as well.

Its_NattyJ

Flanagan's movie HUSH is really good. I list it 2nd best after Haunting of Hill House. I rate Haunting of Bly Manor 3rd, followed by Midnight Mass. The monologues in Midnight Mass are a bit much but I agree it's a great story and the acting is fantastic.
