We are finally seeing what Divergent is all about! This movie wasn't bad at all. Interesting score on this film by Junkie XL. We definitely see why a lot enjoyed this first movie. Definitely had vibes of Hunger Games. It does do a good job of setting itself apart from Maze Runner and Hunger Games a bit. Looking forward to the next movie.

You guys pointed out how this movie was able to distinguish itself from other dystopian movies from the same years and I can't agree more. I don't think the plot was better than for example, Maze Runner or Hunger Games but it has its charms. I don't really remember if i've ever watched the sequels but I'm looking forward to watching them in the coming weeks.

Agreed. We don't think it was better than HG or MR but it was able to position itself from those.

I liked this movie. It’d been a long time since I saw it so I didn’t remember much. I was wondering why your voting system for movie is “answers.” Does that mean something and is it connected to The Answer?

I remember when I first read the books, I got them for Christmas and I finished each book in a day. That's all I did for three days. Just read. When I heard the first movie was coming out, I bought premier tickets (when you go before the official release) and I was actually sick that day with a bad stomachache, and sat out in the cold for hours with my mom waiting for 8pm to come and see it. I was honestly disappointed with the changes they made then never saw the rest until about a year ago. I just felt some changes they made weren't necessary and just wasn't something I cared to see the rest of. However having recently finished the series, it isn't a bad movie I just wish it could have been a little more accurate. Also, a fun fact. Miles Teller (Peter), Theo James (Four/Tobias), and Ansel Elgort (Caleb) all star in this movie BUT each one plays Shailene's love interest in 3 different movies. Obviously Theo in this film. Ansel in The Fault In Our Stars. Miles in The Spectacular Now. It's also in the second film when you see all four of them in one scene. Even now, I have to wonder if filming with all three guys in one film was ever awkward for her.

Both divergent and the fault in our stars came out in 2014 it's funny cuz in divergent Ansel is playing her brother in the fault in our stars he's playing her love interest.

Hello Renee. Unfortunately, we can't. We do not own the property. With fair use, we can show a little. If a studio were to catch someone doing unblur, etc. and showing a property they don't own, then it runs risk losing their Patreon. You'll see a lot, if not all reactors do this. Sure, there's probably a few that don't care and ignore it. But we don't want to run that risk. We do have it labeled in the tier and in the beginning this is a watch along format.
