Not a bad episode. Feels like progression still. It was steady. Left some purpose. It does feel like the next episode is going to big. We hope.

What did you all think of episode 5?

The quote, “Not all who wander are lost” was in a poem in Fellowship of the Ring, so it is a Tolkien quote. It was about Aragorn… All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king. I also really think the stranger is Sauron. Sauron and the wizards are the same kind of beings, they are the Maiar. So they would have the same powers and abilities. The crater the stranger made when he arrived was the in the shape of an eye, like the eye of Sauron. The fire was cold, similar to the fire in the first episode when Galadriel and her company were in the far north. He spoke the black speech. He displays magical power and not always resulting in good - like the fireflies dying. So I think he is probably Sauron. He is the one who makes the rings of power, which is clearly going to happen at some point in the series and back in The Lord of the Rings movie, Sauron was called “the deceiver.” Galadriel said that when he made the rings and gave them to the three races, they were all “deceived” by him. Which makes me think Sauron will not be obvious to Galadriel and the others when they meet him in this series. They will meet him and think he’s good as he lures them in. Just theorizing. 🤓😁
