Thought we'd ask you all on how you sync your video up and great info for others if they are looking for tips. What do you feel works best?

2022-08-14 11:21:54 I'm an outlier I know, if I'm watching a full length reaction, I'm buying it on iTunes so I'm a little unusual and the times don't usually match the streaming services. I look for something like a scene or camera angle change and time it. So for like the Harry Potter movies I get my copy of the movie qued up for the moment before the Harry Potter logo flies off the screen, then start your guys' reaction and hit play when that moment pops up. Then hit pause/play on one or the other to fine tune it's sync as needed. As long as there is the minature blurred & muted video ongoing throughout the reaction I can keep it synced even if I have to pause. I can still make out enough details for comparison to sync.

I have HP on iTunes as well long ago bought. I just start when you start and I have sound on and am very good at visually watching the scene change to match it up even on blurred I can see the screen change and match by pausing whichever is ahead. It usually gets to exact match within five sec and works easily for me. My visual acuity is high, as vision is my favorite sense and best.

Maybe keep the subtitles viewable on your end - that helps me keep track of where we are

We typically leave them up for us so we can hear in case we miss something. We can see what we can do 😁😁👍👍

Using two screens 👌👌😁 or movie on TV screen and reaction in mobile 😎

Pretty much like some others said it as well, I start with you and pause whichever Video is ahead for a second or two, until it’s synched with your version. The only hard thing is to find the extended versions of the film, in case you use it 😂

Edie

where do you find the extended versions?

I think a lot of reactors don’t realize that different platforms have slightly different run times for the same version of a movie. For example, I own all the HP movies on Amazon Prime, but they often get a second or two out of sync over time. One platform plays the movie slightly faster than the other. I have no idea why that is. Frequent visual cues from you are very helpful in syncing up.

So I only watched the hp reactions so far. I get to the WB logo and pause till you guys start and wait for it to match up. Been pretty dead on most of the time. Maybe a couple seconds off here or there.

I usually try to pause at the most easily recognizable change in the movie frame at the very beginning, but I soon realized that the HP movies on my HBO Max are sped up compared to yours so it's always out of sync after around 10-15 seconds, so I had to watch it on another website

Same. Really weird...probably very slight frame rate variation during 4K/different aspect ratio conversion.

I play the movies/shows through my iMac with the volume up & I play the reactions on my phone with headphones on!
