Personally, this intro music is my favourite out of all of them (I'm a sucker for a dramatic ballad). Regarding the change in animation, I believe there was a shift in budget to allow for improved animation. The animation studio is different in S4, but S1-3 use the same studio.

the Kenny Levi action sequence in ODM gear is one of the coolest, best animated scenes I've ever seen. I still regularly go back to watch this scene on youtube just because it is that epic

IMO, it wasn't my favorite intro when I first watched the season. However, the full song is a banger. Only way I can listen to it now. The lyrics also helped me.

I should have taken notes with yall since i watched alongside yall for the first time cause i have so many questions and I am a firm supporter of the season one intro so far! My only thought is about Eren because of his titan form and how weak its been after his fight with Reiner like did it really mess him out? He also seems very subdued but then again its only been two episodes and hes been tossed around like gum in a middle school classroom with little to no speaking parts

This intro is my favourite intro, the emotion behind it really pack's a punch once you finish the show, do try to listen to the intros and give them a chance!!!

The intro for this season does bring a lot of emotion after finishing the series. Just listening to it now makes my eyes water. Most fans look back on this song and probably feel the same way. Something I may add is that the Ackerman name will be talked about in later seasons/episodes so don't think too hard for now, you will understand until then. As always great reaction! Looking forward to more

we finally reached the morally complex side of the story, and thanks for the armin appreciation once again!! his "development" (i feel bad calling that an upgrade on him lol) has been so good in the last few episodes. and yes, this episode reveals levi's last name for the first time! him and mikasa have the same last name and no one should give you any explanation further than that, you'll see what's behind that in the future. there's so many big reveals in these 2 episodes alone, from now on the series will go heavy on dialogue, try to catch everything you can cause if you miss something you might get lost at some point in the future. loved the commentary! you guys truly feel invested, diamond dave lost his mind today lmao and i love the oak's commentary so much!! so excited for the rest of the season i know it's a little early to say this but, in episode 49, i would like you guys to watch the outro and post credits scene👀 there might be some ppl against it tho, when that ep came out we all watched it so it would be a little unfair to exclude you from that experience, for the sake of chaos i want ya'll to do it haha

Don't be afraid to read this. It has no spoilers. But season 4 which is the final season has a huge change in animation due to studio change. Due to the escalating scale of the title. Apparently, several other studios refused to take over the production of the final season of the series, as many thought that it would be impossible to fill Wit Studio's shoes. MAPPA is the studio who animated the final season and a lot of us actually think it's closer to the manga style.

I won't get into the whole Reiss familiy history since others have already clarified that for you. As for the opening, yeah I'm not the biggest fan of this one. That being said, to me *all* openings take second fiddle to the second opening for Season 4. You'll know it when you hear it, as I suspect it'll be ya'lls favorite too. Something else you might want to pay extra attention to is what the prisoner said the MP was in charge of. All of the people they killed. A teacher who knew too much, a couple that wanted to fly, a woman who bedded the wrong man, and even in these episode we see them taking out a merchant and a priest too. There's a pretty big range of causes between these things, and it's interesting that the Military Police is in charge of taking these people out. Some food for thought, just in case it passed you by too quickly to think about.

It's not that big of a deal for them to predict things. They would be in the exact same position that any other viewer is. It's not like they're seeing a season 4 opening while watching season 1. They made that opening with the understanding that you'd be watching those episodes. It's silly to say "you can't watch the opening for the very episode that you're watching.

Fun fact! (This isnt a spolier) "A stupid couple who tried to fly", is referring to Armins parents. They tried to fly away in a hot air balloon to see what was outside. I think Armin mentioned it in S1.

Ah, Oak, I guarantee you, this story is not like any other story you've seen. 😆 Also, that Levi/Kenny squad chase sequence at the beginning of this episode is one of my favourite scenes from the entire show. 👌🏼

They cut so much of the torture scene out from the manga. Also, I think Lost girl's, lost in the cruel world is better after the entire series is over. Personally, I thought it spoiled the end of the series when I first watched it.

So YES Kenny is based off of Clint Eastwood and this intro is def very introspective and I think you'll understand why later in the season.

Also, you can look at the intro like the characters being kids, and then losing their innocence for whatever reason. Also, like Diamond said, yes, we'll see more of Levi and the rest of the crew

Aww man, this season is just banger after banger after banger🔥. We were not joking around when we said this show just gets better and better with the stakes rising higher and higher. Also forewarning guys, theres something you guys will be interested in seeing during the end credits of episode 12, so be sure to stay tuned, and also there’s gonna be a few double/triple feature episodes this season. A better way to explain would be season 3 is cut into 2 parts. You guys will understand as you watch, both parts are freaking wild and your heads will possibly explode 🤘🏻

NOT A SPOILER Something someone already pointed out but ill break it down a little The reason there has been no war according to the guy they were torturing is because the First Interior Squad dirtied their hands (aka killed these people) 1. A teacher too smart for their own good 2. A couple who tried to fly 3. A woman from a ranch that bedded the wrong man so to say It can be implied that they were instructed to kill these people by the government for some reason. Also keep in mind he said the Reiss family is the true royal family and as far as we know there is currently only the King, King Fritz who hasn't even spoken yet. DOUBLE ALSO try to remember Jeans feelings in this episode

Eren and the Scouts were experimenting and that deformed titan of his was basically the result of him having to transform multiple times, probably more than 3 times, in one day. And so since he's exhausted physically, his titan also couldn't manifest properly.

Oak touched on this well. The opening for this season is very different intentionally. The first 3 are akin to military anthems and/or propaganda for the military. But with the content of this season, that doesn't make as much sense, hence why this opening song is soo different.

You guys missed some bits and some huge information on this one so here we go: first the bits: When Sannes said he killed a teacher it showed Erwin's dad and it seemed you guys didn't recognized him from S1 even tho Erwin's dad showed up briefly in S1 flashbacks. The next scene it shows a couple flying in a hot air balloon and getting killed, that's Armin's mother and dad trying to explore outside the walls, that was hinted in S1 episode 5 when Armin said his parents were trying to leave the walls soon while showing Eren the book about the outside world. now the major thing: When Sannes was about to reveal the information and he just said one line and there was a cut, it seems you guys missed the line that was said, he said Reiss is the true royal family and that's the bomb, it was a non-chalant delivery just like S2 episode 6 colossal and amored indentity reveal. Next it shows the paper with the true king's Reiss face which turns out to be Historia's dad.

I am mindfuI and I think it not unrealistic. So far noone asked them for certain episodes or pushed them to watch more. But episodes 16,17 and 18 should be watched togather, that's all. This is small request which is within this 30% chance they were talking about. We are also asking much in advance, so they could have time to plan ahead. That is exactly what being mindful is 😉

I suggested other "3" because season 3 has 22 episode mate. So they need to even it out anyway. What I think is that you should be more mindfuI towards other Patron members. I have the right to write a comment and ask for more episodes, which I did really politely using the word "try".
