Alex, I am right there with you on "Just You", when it started up I burst out laughing so hard my cat ran away. If anyone is interested in the origins of this infamous song, I found this comment from someone on the Lost in Twin Peaks podcast: "I met James Marshall at Eraserhood in Philadelphia earlier this month. It was awesome, he actually sang the song for everyone! During the Q and A someone asked him about how the song came about. James said one day on set he was playing his guitar and David saw him and said lets do a song together for the show. Then apparently David, James and Angelo all met up one day and wrote it together on the piano on the Hayward living room set. I think James said it was his idea to give the song a fifties vibe and that David liked the idea so they went in that direction. I think it was even James who came up with the line "just you." He said originally he was going to sing in high and low notes for the song but when they went to record it he had trouble transitioning between the highs and lows. He said that David said some along the lines of "James, I thought you said you could do this!" But that in the end David liked it they way they got it. James doesn't really like his performance in the song." He had more to say--but we haven't gotten that far in the show yet.
