Ok, but how do I beat the new boss? I have tried literally everything I can think of. Please tell me it isn't an obscure combination of things to do again...

I'm having the same problem with the new boss as neosuduno, if they are talking about the encounter that comes after destroying the magic seal on the fourth floor and going up the stairs, and having done the thing so you don't get AUTOMATICALLY defeated. Also, bugs: the thing from Cyan potion stays on the sprite after using the Yellow potion, even if the description says its gone and the portrait doesn't show it anymore. Also, if the boss destroys your flask, you cannot pick up potions anymore AND cannot pick up an another flask because the game still says you already have one, even if it is no longer available in the inventory. But otherwise, it has been a great update, as always.

There is a bit of a combination but not that complex. One thing to remember that tripped me up for a long time, take a hard look at EVERYTHING you bring with you before going there. (If that's too much I can remove this comment).

I'm running into the same problem the others are. I made it so I don't get beaten instantly by the boss, but actually beating her's another story. Also, for the record. I don't get why I can't help Ally in the fight by using the purple potion on her. I thought for sure that'd be the solution, especially considering how effective said potion's been and how futile fighting the boss seems to be.

Yeah, had a feeling pissing her off was the key (especially since taunt was a new option). But I tried taunting her a bunch and got nothing, or taunting, escaping, taunting, escaping thinking the goal was to bait her into coming down stairs. I just had no idea the hat of all things was causing the game over. Felt a little counter intuitive to put in a semi-hidden out of the way item, but then give you a game over for getting it.

Mmh, gotcha. For me at least, the thinking was that getting the hat back should've felt a little 'too easy', since it was just sitting there for the taking, which would make it seem suspicious. Maybe I need to provide more clues.

I mean, looking back on it I suppose it may have been suspicious to have been in her room and all. Though I just chalked it up to that was the only place in the tower for her to put all your stuff (was kinda figuring I'd find the hitachi wand in the wardrobe as well). I mean, it was just as out in the open (if not slightly more hidden) as all the potion equipment of hers you were using without anything backfiring.
