Bon appetit, Simone. I realize all the copyright nonsense you have to go through, but I'm not sure that showing the movie in black and white is the best solution.

Boo! Boo for not including Bernstein's "girl in the white dress story"! (8:27) [Only semi-serious. ]

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

My hope was that the thumbnail could’ve been the ominous shadow of Simone looming over George.

What most blows my mind is that Orson Welles was 25 years old when he wrote, directed, and was the main star in arguably the most influential movie ever made. Also, major kudos noticing shots that showed the ceiling. You're right, this is the first time a movie used them this extensively because everything else was largely shot on soundstages. Highly recommend reading Roger Ebert's companion guide for this movie.

James Falato

No one in the film finds out the significance of "Rosebud" but We do... His regrets of never realizing the Love he Lost from his Mother and having only the "Rosebud" sled and the Snow Globe to remind him...

And this is just a great gag based on the movie 🤣https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH1PJTY9AVA

For more background about the writing of this film, please check out Mank (2000) with Gary Oldman, who plays Herman Mankiewicz. Mank wrote the script for Orsen Welles, but had to fight to get writing credit. Very good movie and gives you an idea of how screenwriters were regarded at the time and what it means to pick a fight with such a powerful person like William Randolph Haerst.
