I know it is pretty low in the poll, but if you do patriot games, I would say start with The Hunt for Red October as the official start of the Jack Ryan universe.

GoldenEye, with Sean Bean as a supporting character made me think to suggest Equilibrium. A bit of a generic post-Apocalyptic movie but with an incredible performance by Christian Bale.
