I loved this episode. 1) Daemon was a bad ass in this episode, I'm glad he finally got his victory 2) The tension between Alicent and Rhaenyra was good, I wouldn't want to speak to Alicent either since she's banging her dad and having his babies 3) Ser Otto wanted his grandson and Rhaenyra to be betrothed because that means Prince Aegon would be King like he wants and Rhaenyra would be Queen like Viserys wants that way it's a win-win for both sides 4) it was dope when Rhaenyra came back to the camp with her Knight by her side dragging her kill lol

The Targaryen's have been wedding brother to sister in Valyria long before they came and conquered Westeros. Aegon the Conqueror was married to his two sisters Rhaenys and Visenya, then King Jahaerys was married to his sister Alysanne, other Targaryens did the same and some didn't but remember Daenerys parents were brother and sister and her father's name was Aerys II Targaryen aka The Mad King and her mother's name was Rhaella but Dany's mom was never mentioned in the show

The Queen who never was is the oldest daughter and only child Aemon Targaryen and Aemon Targaryen is the oldest son of Jahaerys I Targaryen (the old man we saw in episode 1 at the great council) so she and Viserys are first cousins and the grandchildren of Jahaerys the conciliator

Maester Aemon's brother name was Aegon V. His nickname is Egg. It's not the same person Aegon the Conqueror. Also, fun fact, the three-eyed raven is half-Targaryen. He's Egg's uncle. His mother has northern blood which is why he had greenseeing and warging abilities.
