Hey Married2thereal, I understand this is just a reaction request and it doesn't guarantee you guys will watch it, but it's so nice you guys are checking out the a mainline Gundam series. The one you guys saw last year build fighters was yeah a pokemon/beyblade kinda like series but with mobile suits. The actual gundam series is a real war mecha series where people died due to government, space wars, resources,independence,etc. They shows has about different timelines and started all the way back in 1979 and still going strong today with other shows and movies of the franchise. Just as big as dragonballz in terms, of lore, meme, and others things lol. It's totally like star wars with its supernatural powers, great drama, and other cool epic things to look forward to but we battle with high powered ships and mobile suits, mobile armors, and other kinds of super weapons lol. This is one of the greatest gifts you guys could give us

I think the best way to get someone possibly into Gundam is the OVA 08 MS Team aka Gundam Vietnam war and maybe I was gonna say War in The Pocket but not so sure about that one. Their are a ton of compilation movies that help you get through the first saga of the series Gundam to double Zeta.
