You might of missed the new girl stating her status but she said "In the name of the Witch Of Vanity." So in my head theres an eighth witch??? Never knew there were more then 7 but this was interesting to see.

historically there used to be 9 sins. the 7 we know plus Vanity/Vainglory and Acedia/Apathy but since they are so similar to Pride and Sloth respectfully they got removed then put in as sub-categories for those sins.

Yes, geuse power is the same as Subaru's pretty much. Well Subaru's power comes from killing geuse in season one. That's why they kept saying he gained the authority of sloth. It's been mentioned a few times at the witch's tea party and Beatrice mentioned it during the early episodes of this season.
