Season 1 only covers 66 chapters, while the entire part 1 of TG has 143 chapter. So you are basically missing 77 chapter with a lot of information and reveals. The raid on Anteiku still took place.

It does that because google drive is being swarmed by alot of people so just wait a bit and there shouldnt be an issue

Who said season two didn't exist? The anime didn't really change much in the grand scheme of things. Even if season 3 is exactly like the manga you could still be an anime only watcher and not lose much. The only big difference is that kaneki didn't join the bad guys, he just went on his own, but even that really didn't change much.
