In this season, we're looking at the monsters of Al-Qadim. But what is Al-Qadim, anyway? Honestly, you probably know better than I do.

The character kits were basically what would evolve into subclasses, and a lot of them were culturally specific, if not sensitive (it looks like Maztica was worse for this than Al-Qadim.) There were also some kits that weren't assigned to specific, real-world inspired cultures, but which had... unfortunate names. Savage. Skinwalker. Witch Doctor.

Al-Qadim's main thing in terms of character kits, as I understand it, is the magic-users who do everything by summoning and bargaining with djinn, which makes sense from an Arabian Nights perspective but apparently isn't fantastic from a mechanical perspective. I can't verify this myself, but people tell me the idea is better than the execution.
