In today's episode, we take a look at one of the greatest heroes of Hawaiian mythology, Maui.

The Hawaiian "pantheon" seems a very different kettle of fish to that which you explored in the Pamphlet of Pantheons. How would you got about making a similar kind of background for a game, and how would you involve players in it? Is it something where you could do a sessions zero, come up with a number of elements to explore - e.g. moles, mountains, maize, moon, murder and then all rife of these together to come up with some names and how they relate to each other?

I think you could do a thing where people create stories largely separately and then you paste them together into a single patchwork mythology -- each player comes up with a myth or story and then you collectively try to turn them into something shared.
