How about something like "Fire on the Velvet Horizon", or—and this is probably more of a stretch—a non-RPG-specific monster book like "Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide to the Fantastical World Around You"?

I'm a bit late to the game - got a new phone just as I got sent home from work, and hadn't added Monster Man to my new podcast app. But I would really like to hear you talking about Out of the Pit. It's such a different, and very Gonzo, approach to monsters. Very britpunk, and very fascinating. Also, it was my - and so many other Danes' - first monster book.
