On Nuada's hand or arm, the variation in the translated sources may stem from the fact that Irish uses the same word, 'lámh', for both. Maybe that's why Lugh is Lugh of the Long Hand as well as Lugh of the Long Arm?

And that would go with the idea that they're intended to be compared. One of them loses a hand/arm, one of them has a particularly good hand/arm.
