The Demodands seem to be part of the drive to have outer planar beings for each alignment. So between LE, enslaving, and CE, destructive, lies NE, disgusting.

Right, but *daemons*, not demodands, are Neutral Evil. Demodands are Chaotic Evil (Neutral), which means they have a tendency toward neutrality -- although it seems weird to me that a hierarchical feudal structure is Chaotic Evil tending toward Chaotic Neutral!
