Damn, I sure was missing working with soft shading a lot... 🎨🖌

During my training period I mostly focused on anatomy, inking and production speed. That's why all the work I did during this period was mostly cell shading.

Good coloring is a whole different beast by itself, so trying to tackle multiple big topics in one session would have been too overwhelming.

I have seen some really poor artwork lifted to a whole new height all thanks to some good coloring work.

But bad coloring can sink even the most beautiful and delicate line work.

For now I am "satisfied" with my coloring style, but as I start to gain more confidence in other areas of my art I will start to experiment more with wilder color palettes and some other interesting layer effects...!
