Hi David. I’m really enjoying being a Patreon member, great videos! I have a question regarding the Panzer IV early-models 75mm L/24 gun. Understanding that the Pz IV was designed as a support tank (HE instead of anti-tank), did the Germans consider a longer tube (L/30 or 32 per example) that could have given the Panzer IV a better secondary capability against enemy tanks? If they did, what were the reasons they didn’t adopt it (shorter is cheaper and less voluminous? The Germans must have been aware that French tanks were well armored and that Pz IV would sooner or later end facing them… Thanks and I go to visit the museum one day!

Hi David. A while ago you did great stuff on the origins and evolution of Camouflage for tanks and vehicles in WW1. Most military's seem to have incorporated digital Camouflage into their personnel uniforms in some way and I have seen mention that its main advantage is scalability at varying distances. In terms of tanks and vehicles it seems only China and other smaller nations have adopted digital schemes for their vehicles. Do the advantages of digital style camouflages translate over when used on vehicles or is it only valuable in specific environments (like the Berlin Brigades block camo). And do modern vision systems like thermals make painted camouflages for tanks somewhat obsolete? Thank you for all the great work, these Q&A videos are always a highlight of my day when released. All the best, Paul.
