You're right, Gon is much older than 12 at the moment, closer to 14 judging by the time spent. Knov was observing Gon and Killua to decide whether they die or not it would be a good idea to see controlled Kite

Pretty sure this is one of those moments the anime screwed up his age lol. I'm pretty sure logically speaking, Gon is at least 13.

Gon should be 13 years old at this point since when he took the Hunter Exam he was 12 and it's been more than a year since then (in GI we had another Hunter Exam, one year later). This is most likely a mistake from the anime. I can't remember if in the manga it's correct. There will be another instance where Gon will be referred as ''12 years old'' when he clearly isn't. Pretty weird thing to screw up if you ask me lol.

Palm is basically a personification of loneliness and what it can do to a person. I like that Gon is so good with Palm while others are unsure/awkward around her, it fits right in with his character.
