Brian Ortega is back in full form

I was one of the many that thought Rodriguez was just gonna roll over Ortega. As Rodriguez had a good round one Ortega just took over the fight. I don't think he deserves a title fight because it's only it's only one win in over three years. He should at least get a number one contenders fight with Movsar Evloev. Either way Ortega looked great and is back at the top of the division.

Yazmin Jauregui is a future top five strawweight

It was against San Hughes but Jauregui had a fantastic showing. I'm convinced her loss to Denise Gomes was a fluke. I mean it did only last twenty seconds and that don't tell nothing about a fight. I would've liked to see Jauregui finish the fight but if anything Hughes is durable. Jauregui's striking was so smooth just flowing in the cage with beautiful combinations while mixing in kicks. Her striking alone is good enough to get her into the top ten. Only being 24 I'm sure Jauregui is a top five fighter and maybe a future champ.

Manuel Torres is a threat

There was a lot unknown with Torres coming into his contender series fight. He started off in the UFC showing off his striking knocking out Frank Camacho and Nikolas Motta. Last night he fought Chris Duncas who was gonna test his wrestling and ground game. The jiu-jitsu of Torres is what stood out to me post UFC and showed he had it submitting Duncan in the first. Torres in his three UFC fights have won a performance of the night bonus. He's a potential big star in Mexico. I like his fighting style and his personality and also the fact he's a threat everywhere. Still a lot of questions to be answered but he's a threat nonetheless.
