If you watch Dylan Hazan you can see he obviously comes from a wrestling background. Hazan is a two-time Italian freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling champion. With only one amateur fight he's excelling as a pro and is 4-0 for Cage Warriors.

Hazan has something most fighters don't have and that's an endless gas tank. Maybe he hasn't been pressed enough defensively to prove how good his cardio really is. With his relentless wrestling pace, his cardio has held up for three exhausting rounds four times in his career.

Hazan is limited on the feet but there has barely been time spent on the feet. He does swing nothing but overhands but does hit his way into a level change. Hazan will change levels to a single leg, cut a corner, or press against the cage and get the takedown. A lot of times he won't get the takedown on the initial shot but his ability not to give up and keep driving has worked great. When Hazan gets ahold of you it's extremely hard to shake him off.

The only thing lacking on the mat for Hazan is a submission attack. He doesn't hold one win by submission and never really threatens them. He's more worried about holding position and grinding out his opponents. At times he's definitely being a wet blanket just to win minutes. When he does open up his ground and pound is a valuable weapon. I hope he uses it more in the future cause it's a real fight-changer.

Hazan doesn't have a fan-friendly style. At 125 his wrestling, pace, and cardio are a real problem. You don't have to like watching him but you gotta respect it. Plus, he has had fights where he was active and was borderline exciting.
